Stone R Art" is a unique collection of handprinted, themed stones, each signed "GNK," a tribute to my native name, Gigidoe Nodin Kwey—"Speaking Wind Woman." For over 20 years, painting rocks and stones has been a cherished form of meditation. My themed packs range widely from whimsical to inspirational, seasonal and more! I paint stones (and canvass too) - something for every occasion, making them perfect as gifts or personal reminders.
Alongside my painted art, I also create wire-wrapped gemstone pendants.
Each piece is one-of-a-kind, featuring carefully chosen gems and crystals—like jasper, quartz, agate, amethyst, and more—wrapped in hand-twisted wire that highlights their natural beauty. These pendants carry not only the artistry of the wrap but also the energy and meaning of the stones themselves, making them deeply personal keepsakes or meaningful gifts.

Can I commission a Rock or Stone Painting?
Absolutely! Send me a message - tell me what you are thinking. I'll get back to you as quick as I can.
The "Red Fox Rock"seen on the right was commissioned and has been at the foot of the owners driveway (protecting the mailbox) for about 5 years. It was painted on a baked rock, base coated with gesso then painted with acrylics and sealed for weather proofing. The rock is about 2 feet high by 3 ft wide and 1.5 ft deep.
Are they weatherproof?
Quick answer - Mostly, NO!
Longer answer - Most of the kindness stones, or "Pocket Rock Reminders" I paint and leave all over the countryside to be found are NOT treated in any way for preservation. I use safe acrylic paint and I do not seal them (the paint is 'waterproof) which means they'll hold up for a little while , but over time they will return to their original "natural stone" state.
If you want to spray your stone or rock with a sealant, amazon, walmart, canadian tire etc. all have great options to choose from. I even know one who used Gel Top Coat for nails to seal and protect her stone - so whatever works for you!
If you are commissioning a set of stones and want them sealed - you have to tell me ahead of time!
